TELLURIDE FOUNDATION TO HOST FIRST ANNUAL “RUN-DOLA” Fourth of July Foot Race from the Base to the Peak of the Gondola
On your mark, get set, RUN-DOLA! The Telluride Foundation announces the first annual Telluride Classic Run-dola footrace that will take place on July 4th at 8a.m. The Run-dola is an open registration uphill footrace from the base of the gondola in Telluride to the ridge that parallels the gondola.

"Fourth of July in Telluride is an incredible experience for residents and visitors," said Paul Major, President & CEO of the Telluride Foundation. "The only thing missing is an athletic event, and we are excited to bring this new tradition to a fun filled weekend."

Runners start at the base of the gondola on the town of Telluride side and finish at the top of the ridge. Runners and hikers will climb up the Telluride Trail (4,600 feet long, 40 feet wide with a 13% grade) to the top of the gondola. There is an elevation gain of 1,810 feet.

Participants register in one of the following categories: Men 18 & under; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; Women 18 & under; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; Men & Women 50yrs plus; and Baby in a back pack. Kids 12 and under may register and participate in a race to the top of Kid's Hill. Metals will be awarded for the top three finishers in each category. There will be a grand prize for the first man and woman who finish. The Foundation also plans to raffle off prizes for all entrants. Please visit www.telluridefoundation.org/classic to register.
