TELLURIDE FOUNDATION TO HOST WORKSHOP FOR NONPROFITS ON FUND DEVELOPMENT
The Telluride Foundation invites regional nonprofits and members of the public to a nonprofit building capacity workshop on developing a "Fund Development Plan" on Tuesday September 28 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm in the upstairs meeting room of the Telluride Fire District, located at 135 W. Columbia Avenue.

A fund development plan is an essential tool for every nonprofit organization created with the input of board and key staff members. It drives a strategic, coordinated approach to raise more money. This interactive workshop will help nonprofits to engage their board and other key stakeholders in the process to reach annual fundraising goals.

The cost for the workshop is $30, and anyone interested in attending should register and pay on line at http://www.jvaconsulting.com/index.php?s=56 or go the JVA's website at www.jvaconsulting.com and click on "General Nonprofit Trainings" and scroll to the Telluride Trainings.

This workshop will be taught by Jennifer Johnson of JVA Consulting. Jennifer has 11 years of management experience and 15 years of fundraising and grantwriting experience, including serving as development director and in senior development positions in multiple organizations. She started with JVA Consulting in 2007 and brings specific content knowledge in the areas of at-risk youth, gang culture, program development, youth homelessness and arts and culture, as well as expertise in strategic fundraising. JVA Consulting, founded in 1987 and based in the intermountain West, is a woman-owned planning, fundraising, capacity building and evaluation firm working with organizations and individuals across the country on community and social change. JVA Consulting advises foundations, government agencies and school districts, nonprofits and socially-responsible businesses with community needs assessments, capacity building initiatives, strategic and business planning, social enterprise, trainings, fundraising and proposal writing, and research and program evaluation.

"This workshop is a great opportunity for nonprofits to gain tips and strategies for successful fundraising campaigns" said April Montgomery, Programs Director of the Telluride Foundation, "whether your nonprofit is thinking about a capital campaign, building an endowment, seeking scholarship funds, or just raising annual operating funds, this workshop will help you get organized and started."

Registration for the workshop can be made on the JVA Consulting website at www.jvaconsulting.com and click on "General Nonprofit Trainings". Also, for more information contact April at 728-8717 or april@telluridefoundation.org.
